In Albany there aren't a lot of options and Baymont is likely the BEST option. I really don't like the smell of smoke and there is obviously smokers in the recent history of the hotel. For me that was enough to not to want to return. The other issue is that the breakfast is horrible; no meat, over microwaved french toast. The coffee was fine.
The shower had mildew in the corners, which is not OK with me.
I always stay here when in Albany. It is the best choice. Staff is knowledgeable about the area. Rooms clean, plenty of pillows. No elevator so request a ground level room if needed.
Floor in our room had not been swept, found long hairs in sink and tub! I have short hair! Refrigerator wouldn't work and finally we noticed it wasn't plugged in. TV kept going off and we call the desk..the lady from the desk came and she worked for more than 5 minutes while we watched her. She finally got it on by jiggling the cable box plug-in. I asked her if she could tell us how to put closed captioning on and she told me it didn't work because someone else had tried to get it to work before! After a minute or so I figured it out and got it working. Swimming pool was nice but would have been better with a hot tub. The best thing I can say for the amount of money we paid..a least the bed was firm! I won't be staying here again! Big Disappointed at the lack of quality for a Baymont!
Loved the place!! Very comfy bed, and the desk lady! She and I share the first name . She was a huge help and works very hard. Always greets with a smile and a personal welcoming charm. She is always working but also makes time for a smile and can I help you. I hope she is paid well, she definitely makes the stay worth the pennies!
The business center didn't have any paper in the printer and had to ask three times to get enough to print 18 pages of work. Not a big issue, but also not a selling point.
Our room was meticulously clean and met all our needs. Our experience here has been one of the best. The staff is great! I highly recommend this hotel. My sister is in the handicap room and I can't say enough about how convenient it is. The rooms and hallway have a clean pleasant smell. Thank you for having us! I have stayed in hotels and have yet to find one that can compete with this one!
I used the workout facility and the bike was too small for me (I'm tall that's a specific issue to me), treadmill didn't work, but the rowing machine was fine!
